Mr. Metcalf's Representative Trial Experience:
  • Represented New Jersey based small business in breach of contract and breach of warranty action against a Korean manufacturer of facsimile machines.  Result: After a three-week trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of Mr. Metcalf’s clients in the amount of $10.3 million.  The verdict was reported in the January 15, 2001 edition of the New Jersey Lawyer.   • Conducted a six-week trial on behalf of a leading foreign technology corporation in a $25 million breach of contract and breach of warranty action. Result:  A favorable settlement was obtained for the client mid-way through the trial.
  • Conducted four-day bench trial for a family-owned LLC involved in a contentious real estate dispute.
  • Conducted three-day bench trial for insurer involving the interpretation and scope of a release.
